Sending load home is something many Filipino workers and families in the UK do every month. Whether the phone you are topping up is in Manila, Cebu or a province far from the cities, the steps are the same. This guide walks you through ordering a Philippines mobile top-up from Britain and paying for it in pounds.
Which Philippine networks can I send load to?
Five brands are available: Globe, TM, Smart, TNT and DITO. TM is a prepaid brand that runs on Globe’s network, and TNT does the same on Smart’s, yet each has its own list of peso amounts and prices with us. Ask the recipient which brand their SIM shows, then choose exactly that brand on the product page.
Choosing Globe for a TM SIM, or Smart for a TNT one, is an easy mix-up because the pairs share networks. Picking the precise brand keeps the order matched to the right price list. Numbers can be ported between operators, so a prefix is only a hint.
Load is for prepaid SIMs. Postpaid plans billed monthly cannot be credited from this page.
What is the right way to write a +63 mobile number?
The Philippines uses the country code +63. A mobile number written at home has eleven digits and begins 09, for example 09xx xxx xxxx. For international load, remove the opening zero and add 63, so the number becomes +63 9xx xxx xxxx. You should be left with ten digits after the 63, and the first of them is a 9.
- Typical local format: 09xx xxx xxxx
- What goes in the Philippines Mobile Number field: +63 9xx xxx xxxx
Keeping the zero, as in +63 09, is the classic error and gives one digit too many. It is also easy to drop a digit when reading a number aloud over a call, so ask for it in writing where you can.
How much load can I send, and what does it cost?
Amounts range from 50 PHP up to 1,000 PHP depending on the brand, with Globe stopping at 900 PHP and TM at 550 PHP. Prices start at £0.99 for 50 pesos on TNT or DITO and reach £26.69 for 1,000 pesos on Smart. Each brand’s exact values and current prices are listed on the product page once you select it.
| Brand | Amounts (PHP) | Price range (GBP) |
|---|---|---|
| Globe | 50, 100, 150, 350, 550, 900 | £1.09 to £17.89 |
| TM | 50, 100, 150, 350, 550 | £1.09 to £10.99 |
| Smart | 50, 100, 150, 300, 500, 1,000 | £1.39 to £26.69 |
| TNT | 50, 100, 150, 300, 500, 1,000 | £0.99 to £19.59 |
| DITO | 50, 100, 200, 300, 500, 1,000 | £0.99 to £18.89 |
Prices really do differ between brands. For example, 500 PHP is £13.39 on Smart, £9.79 on TNT and £9.49 on DITO. That is another reason to confirm the brand before choosing an amount.
Once the load arrives, the recipient can use it as regular balance or register it to a promo offered by their network. Which promos exist is up to Globe, Smart, DITO and their sub-brands.
What should I check before I pay for Philippines load?
Look at four things on the checkout screen: the brand (Globe, TM, Smart, TNT or DITO), the number written as 63 followed by ten digits starting with 9, the peso amount, and your email address. Most problems with load orders come from a wrong brand or a stray digit, and both are simple to catch with one more careful read.
- Brand exactly as shown on the SIM or in the phone’s settings.
- Number begins 63 9, with no zero after the code.
- Peso amount agreed with the recipient.
- Email address correct, so our confirmation reaches you.
How do I pay for Philippines load by UK bank transfer?
Payment is by UK bank transfer only. After you place the order, your order number and our bank details are displayed. Use your online or app banking to send the exact total, and type the order number into the reference field. That is how we identify your payment and move your load order forward, so it is important not to skip it.
A first payment to us may bring up a new-payee check, or your bank might hold it briefly to review it. Follow any prompts and the transfer will carry on. Our guide on how to pay by bank transfer explains the process in more depth.
When does the load reach the phone in the Philippines?
We start work on the order once your payment is confirmed. The load is usually applied to the Philippine number during processing, and we email you to say it has been sent. Globe, Smart, DITO and their brands usually text the recipient as well. Since bank checks can take different lengths of time, we do not promise a set delivery time.
If you have our confirmation and the person cannot see the load, ask them to check their balance in the network’s app or by text, or to restart the phone. If it is still not showing, contact us with your order number.
Can I get a refund if I load the wrong number?
No. If the number you entered is valid but not the intended one, the load is credited to that line and the network cannot reverse it, so we cannot refund it. The safest way to avoid this is to copy the number from a text or chat the recipient sent you and check the ten digits after 63 before paying.
If you notice a problem before you transfer the money, do not pay and send us an email; the unpaid order can be cancelled. Once payment is confirmed and the load is sent, it is final.
For family in more than one country, our overview of topping up a phone abroad applies the same steps more widely.
